President Trump postpones Portsmouth rally
PORTSMOUTH — An outdoor rally that President Trump had planned to attend here Saturday evening has been postponed due to weather, according to the Associated Press and several reporters from national news outlets.
In announcing the decision Friday, the White House cited Tropical Storm Fay, which is threatening parts of the mid-Atlantic and southern New England, as Jonathan Lemire and Bill Barrow reported for the Associated Press.
In a statement, Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh said the event was postponed for safety reasons due to the storm and will be rescheduled. A new date will be announced soon, Murtaugh said.
